High School Sailing is Almost Here

Join us for High School Sailing

Use your brain and your muscles in this dynamic and engaging coed sport. Students in grades 7-12 represent their school and join a passionate group of sailors from around the Metro Area. Sailors practice three nights a week after school and race in regattas on the weekend. No experience needed!

We are hosting two informational meetings for new Middle School and High School sailors to learn about our program, meet our Coaches, and ask questions.  Please RSVP to ted@sailmpls.org if you plan to attend:

Monday, March 19 - 5:30-6:30 pm
Uptown Community Gathering Space
3554 Bryant Ave S
Minneapolis, MN 55408

Thursday, March 15 - 6-7 pm
Bryn Mawr Community Gathering Space

Season Planning Meeting

We are hosting a season planning meeting on Sunday, March 25th from 2:30-4:00 pm at the Bryn Mawr Community Gathering Space (400 Cedar Lake Rd S, Minneapolis, MN 55405, USA).

Sailors who have registered for the high school sailing program and their parents are invited to attend.  We will discuss the practice and regatta schedules, team registration, sailing team booster club, and more.  We also have some helpful new pages on our website to teach you about regattas and what sailing gear to buy. Check them out!

Member Discount for High School

We are now offering Membership discounts for High School Sailing.  Members receive $150 off the cost of the High School Program each season!  A yearly Individual Membership is only $300 so if you plan to sail in the Spring and Fall it pays for itself.  Family Memberships are $450.

From May 12th-October 5th Members can use our sailboats during open sailing hours Saturday-Thursday from Noon to Sunset and Fridays 5 pm - Sunset.  What better way to practice your skills than to sail all summer long on Bde Maka Ska.

Sailing Team Booster Club

We are looking for parents who want to actively support the team through the Sailing Team Booster Club.  We need volunteers to plan fun team events (e.g. banquets, picnics, etc.), help host regattas, drive kids to and from competitions, and more.  Your commitment can range from planning bigger events to helping out every once in a while with short term needs.

Contact MSC Director, Ted Salzman (ted@sailmpls.org) if you’d like to be added to the Booster Club list.
