youth 420 RACE TEAM

AGES: 12-17
SCHEDULE: Mon-Thursday 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM, Friday 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
DURATION: Three weeks
PUBLIC: $500    MEMBER: $350  

WHO’S ON THE 420 RACE TEAM?
Sailors on the 420 Race Team have taken 420 Intro to Racing or equivalent and are interested in continuing to expand develop their racing skills.

MORE SPECIFICS:

The class will focus on advanced boat handling, sail trim, tactics, and strategy in a class with hands-on coaching.

Students are encouraged to participate in the TCYS regatta series held each Friday of the summer. Coaching for TCYS regattas will be provided. Regatta entry fees and boat chartering fees are not included. 

WHAT’S NEXT?
Many sailors on the 420 Race Team go on to join the Spring and Fall high school sailing teams. High School sailing is for grades 7-12.
