Minneapolis Sailing Center is honored to accept the US Sailing 2024 Jim Kilroy Outstanding Outreach and Inclusion Award!

This award is presented to "an individual or program that has made notable contributions to promote public access sailing by finding and including people in their program that would normally have no access to sailing."

We are proud of the volunteers, staff, board members, and community partners whose dedication to increasing access to sailing helped make this possible.

MSC Board Members Joe Leadley and Keith Holloman recently attended the US Sailing Leadership Forum in Coronado, CA, to accept the award. Joe and Keith bring a deep passion for growing access to sailing equitably and inclusively.

"By numbers, we've done a lot of great things, but I want to emphasize that while the numbers speak volumes, it's the impact outside of the numbers that makes a difference... We remove the barriers, and we provide access in an inviting, welcoming environment that ultimately allows us to serve kids and adults of every gender, ethnicity, and faith. We meet people where they are to help them experience sailing." - Keith Holloman
