Join us for a lovely evening of sailing and eating yummy food!
The Lake Calhoun Sailing School is hosting an Open House on Friday, August 25th, from 5 PM to Sunset to celebrate the end of summer and kick-off the upcoming high school sailing season.
Wait, what is high school sailing you ask? High school sailing is a great way for sailors in grades 7-12 to meet new friends, learn how to race, and represent your school! The high school sailing team practices three days per week after school at Lake Calhoun and on Saturdays they travel to Lake Minnetonka, White Bear Lake, and the St. Croix River to compete against other teams. Sailors can even compete in regional and national regattas.
The high school coaches will be at the Open House to answer questions and greet the sailors. Boats will be available for sailors to take friends and family members out for rides. Ted will be on the grill serving up some yummy burgers and brats. If you are so inclined, bring your favorite dish or dessert to share.
